Manics debut EP came out today and we couldn’t be more excited about it. Manics is a San Francisco based duo comprised of Jordan Deherrera and Chris Sanders specializing in genre bending and live performances. Cross breeding 80s influenced Nue Disco and EDMs newest and fastest growing genre, moombahton, Manics stands out in the haze of dance music. The duo have developed their set as more of a live performance, programming effects, vocals and instruments with live improvisation to set themselves apart from the usual Digital DJ. Personalities is Manics debut 5 track release featuring 2 moombahton tracks, Split and Arab Spring; and three Indie Dance/ New Disco tracks, Personalities, Roller Girl and I need Love.
Already both their 80’s revival and moombahton have been blogged by VacayVitamins.com and 110bpm.worpress.com, respectively.
Listen bellow and grab the release on beatport today.

HAYDN HOFFMAN - TAKE ME HOME:THE REMIXES

Haydn Hoffman is one of our favorite producers, with his unique style of infused electro and dubstep. So when we decided to release a remix album of his 3 track EP that dropped last October, it seemed only right to let him hand pick the artists who were going to work with his stems. The result is one remix of each original track, featuring 2 dubstep and 1 electro tracks, all of which are guaranteed to get the crowd going. Listen below and support the artists by buying from beatport.

Two of the tracks from TMG’s best of 2011 were selected for StraightUp!’s Electro Hustlers Vol. 1 Compilation. The first being Cold Blank - Redroid (Original Mix) which came to us with no surprise. The second however was from our break through artist, Fista Cuffs.

We’ve put in some serious work over the past few months to put out more artists and more releases than ever before. It seems the work has paid off. TMG is officially taking over the Honey Lounge at Avalon Hollywood for their weekly party CONTROL. Mark the date, March 16th, TMG artists Fista Cuffs, Manics and Ear Jerker will be showing LA how SF does moombahton and what kind of show TMG can bring. We’re really excited about this event and what it means for the label. Thanks to everyone for the support, we’ll see you there.
